There is a psychospiritual (spiritual combined with psychological) aspect to possession. It's called Dissociative Identity Disorder (Multiple Personality Disorder) when a person's (Host) soul (Middle self) is demonized with a spirit/spirits (Introjects), either a demon or human, their soul fragments into pieces (Splitting) and becomes another two or more selves (alters).
Here are the steps to possession:
- A spirit (Anything negative that's a spirit) enters a person's soul.
- The person's soul gets possessed.
- The possessed self gets a mind of their own (Because of the spirits).
- The possessed self splits off (Into two or more different selves).
- When the person gets delivered of the evil spirit the self gets back into their soul.
- The person's soul gets restored.
- The person is their normal self again.
